Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., Creative Healthcare Solutions, Inc., an inVentiv Health Company, is the leading provider of outsourced marketing to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. CHS employs fewer than 20 personnel, yet they fully support their current Guard and Reserve employee as evidenced by continuing all his employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) plan with company matching, and life insurance, and by making up the substantial difference in his salary for the duration of his mobilization. In addition, CHS employees sent letters, emails, and care packages to their deployed coworker with one containing a 60GB iPod. CHS senior executives routinely checked in on the member’s family through phone calls and emails with offers of support. As a special treat, the founder of CHS and his Executive Vice-President flew to Atlanta and took the Guard and Reserve employee’s 2 young sons, 10 and 7, for a night out on the town – an Atlanta Thrashers game complete with personalized jerseys, names of the boys highlighted on the scoreboard, and pucks autographed by the team.
