The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is a Native American Tribe located in southeastern Oklahoma. Although the Choctaw Nation is a sovereign entity, and therefore exempt from USERRA requirements, it voluntarily complies with all provisions of USERRA, provides full pay and benefits for its military employees and emergency assistance for their families.
The Choctaw Nation has a Veterans Advocacy program that honors its Guard and Reserve members though tribal ceremonies. During times of national emergencies, the Choctaw Nation has provided more military members than any other Oklahoma governmental organization.
“Chief Pyle and the Choctaw Nation have continue to work tirelessly to assist their service member employees and troops,” said nominator Army Reserve Sergeant Anton Pavlovsky.
