CEO Robet Nardelli instituted a task force to review company policies for the Chrysler’s military members and veterans. The Chrysler Veterans Committee regularly collects items and sends comfort packages to military members. The committee is also co-sponsoring in the 2008 Armed Forces Day employer event with the ESGR Michigan Committee.
In 2004, Chrysler provided a $100,000 donation to the Michigan Army National Guard Family Support Fund. “The fact that Chrysler made up my pay was a huge help, because I don’t think I could’ve made it financially without them, “ said nominator Navy Reserve Petty Officer Second Class Theresa Jones.
