State of Tennessee

The State of Tennessee has a long history of establishing policies that increase employer support for the Guard and Reserve members within their community.

In 2003, Gov. Bredesen authorized differential pay compensation between company salary and military wages, as well as continued benefits for all National Guard & Reserve members on military leave and their dependents. This year, the state approved an increase in military leave for state employees, from 15 days to 20 days per year.
